Reading Session with the Horses

Join us for our after-school reading sessions on the farm!

• Parents or adult guardians must remain on-site with readers ages 6–12. While we do have volunteers, we strongly encourage adults to read alongside their children.

• Readers ages 13–19 may be dropped off; however, reading together as a family is still encouraged when possible.

• Readers may bring their own books or choose from our on-site library. Reading sessions are flexible and not limited to leisure reading—participants are welcome to work on homework or practice sight words as well.

• Treats for the horses are welcome! Approved treats include peppermints, carrots, apples, or standard horse treats. Horses may have only a few treats and must be fed using the small buckets we provide. No hand-feeding is allowed.
