The Stable Stars Saddle Up and Read Volunteers are a committed team of individuals who play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and well-being of the stable and its equine partners. They are responsible for mucking stalls, ensuring that the horses have fresh hay in their nets, providing water to horses in stalls and pastures, and keeping the entire farm free of trash and debris.

Reading Partner
Volunteer by reading to or with a child. Sometimes a reader needs assistance while reading. You can be there to help encourage them and help build their literacy skills.
Sunshine Squad
The Sunshine Squad Saddle Up and Read Volunteers are a dedicated team of horse enthusiasts who are passionate about supporting the care and maintenance of horses and their living spaces. They are responsible for ensuring that the horses are well-groomed and their tack is clean and properly maintained. They also take care of important tasks such as cleaning water buckets, raking the aisles, and keeping the feed room and tack room tidy and organized.

People who choose to volunteer are making such a positive impact on our community of readers. Our community and our program is strengthened with volunteers. You must be 18 years old or 13-17 with an adult present to volunteer. Please read below for a description of our current volunteer opportunities.
